Breaking News!! It’s Election Time!!
Your chapter leadership has been hard at work behind the scenes re-organizing and re-structuring
some of the basic framework of the Chapter.
In doing so, we hope to create a smoother flow in the elected leadership positions, and basic management of the chapter.
As many of you may be aware, the Chapter Chair position is up for election soon. In order to open up some leadership opportunities, and to allow leaders the opportunity to try their hand at different tasks without disrupting the elective terms, we’ve decided to merge the terms and election dates.
Also, based on historical participation trends in Chapter activities, we decided to move the election date up slightly, so that the new leadership is in place for the typically more involved fall season. Of course, our ongoing efforts are to encourage year round, stable participation from our members!
So… what does this mean you ask? Well, first off, all four positions are up for grabs! No, we haven’t all jumped ship… some of us are running for different positions, but we need competition! So c’mon! Grab your bull horn and campaign speeches and step right up! Are you up for a leadership challenge?
- Chair
- Vice-Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
If you would like to run for any of the above positions, please submit your intentions, and position statements to Kirsten Brazier, Vice Chair: kirstenbr@yahoo.com or Erin Recke, Secretary: flyinerin@mac.com by no later than April 20 for publication in the May edition of the Leading Edge.
Candidates, position statements and voting instructions will all be profiled in the May issue. Ballots and repeat voting instructions will be sent out mid May, and voting will be conducted by email between: June 1 – 15. Results will be tallied, and winners announced in the July issue of the Leading Edge.
In order for this chapter to prosper and grow, we need your contribution and participation to make it happen. So please, consider entering the leadership race, and don’t forget to vote!
