Beam lives in St. Peters, Missouri.
I took my first flying lesson during high school with Mary
Kelly at Tenkiller
Airpark in eastern Oklahoma. From that first flight on, I had the flying "bug." I
soon learned that I could make a career out of it. With the help of a scholarship
from the Tulsa Chapter 99s, I earned my degree in Aviation Science from Oklahoma
State University. I instructed both at OSU and also for Maui Aviators in Hawaii.
While at OSU, I met my husband Mark. We are now both captains at Chautauqua Airlines
on the Embraer 145. We recently purchased shares in a TIme Pieces Piper Cub,
and are having lots of fun learning to fly a "real" airplane!
