Joanne Egan
I
received my first ride when I was eight years old, and think
that I was hooked from the moment we lifted off. I finally
got serious
about flying when I started dating my husband, who is a
general aviation pilot. I am Treasurer of the Dearborn Flying
Club,
based at Plymouth Mettetal Airport in Canton, Michigan.
The club was established in June of 1944 with 10 members--four
of them were women pilots. The club owns a 1965 Cessna 172.
I am an Applications and Architectural Technology Specialist
at
Unisys Corporation.
